TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

Tab Trade - What It Is

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.

They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys went the other way. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that launched in March 2026, that coverage is solid.

What You Trade On

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Getting both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That should make the platform set when it arrives.

Accounts and Pricing

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits beginners.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.

Execution Speed

The speed is where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.

Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. The point is they invested in proper execution. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get makes sense. Hardly anyone in this bracket offer execution like this.

Regulation

This is the part that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. This does not guarantee anything. But inform how you think about it.

What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that is worth it is your call.

The Bonus

Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You put money in, they add bonus funds. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before funding.
